After a long time, today was special. We were preparing for a night field visit. At 6 pm, we got ready and
headed towards Thamel. The streets of Thamel looked magical bright colorful lights, music, laughter
everywhere. Indian families, tourist families, Nepali friends all enjoying their moments. Seeing their
happiness made me feel happy too.
Our journey started with hope. We went to the first dance bar, but it was closed. Our excitement slowly
turned into disappointment. Still, we didn\u2019t give up. We moved to another one it was also closed. Our
mood became even more sad.Finally, we reached another dance bar. It was open, and our hope
returned. We were excited to meet the sisters, but unfortunately, they had not arrived yet. We
introduced ourselves to the owner and shared information about our office. The owner was supportive
and talked about the health problems of his staff. He suggested us to come after 12 pm so that we could
meet all the girls easily.
Then we went to another dance bar. This time, we got a chance to talk to four girls. We discussed their
personal lives, health issues, and legal problems. To make the environment comfortable, we played a
small game choosing colors and expressing feelings. Each color reflected a different emotion, and it
helped them open up a little.
However, the night was not easy. Some beneficiaries didn\u2019t want to talk. Some owners didn\u2019t allow us to
interact freely. When we entered, loud music was played, creating disturbance. Despite all these
challenges, we tried our best to connect, understand, and support.
That night taught me something important behind the bright lights of Thamel, there are hidden
struggles, silent pain, and stories waiting to be heard.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
